Well, just a couple more hours 'til kickoff. Will the Knights win big in San Jose or will they take it easy on Wolves?

Well I think it is safe to say that the game didn't go as well as the Knights had hoped.

On the up side, it is pretty clear that the game plan was to play everyone in every possible combination. It seemed pretty obvious to me that there are very few positions that are locked up. I think that all the player/position swaps hurt the offensive flow, but a pre-season game is the best place to feel out your roster, so I'm not particularly worried.

On the down side, it seemed like we were running a fairly simple offensive scheme. It really didn't seem like the playbook was very deep. Once again, this could be a pre-season thing, but I would have liked to see a faster pace and some more creative schemes.

The webcast had some technical issues, so it was hard to see how they looked, but my first impression of the team is that we have some solid offensive weapons. That being said, we seemed out of sorts on defense. I'm not sure what it was, but we just didn't seem to be in sync.

I see a lot of film study in the team's future. Physically they looked good, so I am hopeful for a good regular season.

Bring it on Wolves....the better the competition, the better all of the teams have to be.

Congrats on the win.

If I were the coach of the Knights, then I wouldn't want to show all of the team's offensive schemes

Agreed, There is no question that the Knights kept their regular season game plan close to the vest. That's the thing about preseason games, different teams different agendas.

The Wolves played pretty much the same lineup (starters I assume) until well into the 3rd quarter, while the Knights were swapping personnel from the beginning.

I for one, think that the west will dominate the league this season. The Cavs will have their hands full at our home opener.
