Not sure how's it's going to be done, but it sounds like the Knights are coming back next year, with the Golden Spike being their home. I hope that there is more than just optimism behind those statements. Having never beat a team in the league, except for New Mexico, there's a lot of room for improvement. Let's just hope that the AIFA is around next year. I, for one, WILL be back to support them next year. Let us all hope that we do not get let down again, players and fans included.

If the AIFA WEST is still around. I also do not believe that ALL the slotted teams will make it to the field. I have been following indoor football for 2 decades now, and it always happens. Houston in the SIFL, Lakeland/Augusta/Canton/Huntington/Mississippi and many others that "Suspend" operations or say that they will field a team for whatever year. The west was supposed to have 8+ teams this year, but NM folded and the adrenaline (who said they were coming back) didn't. It's always next year or the year after. SO, Ogden coming back is a big if, the west being around is not a sure thing and the league as a whole is being tugged at by no less than 3 other leagues. I will believe all the "Potential" of next year when I actually see it...........next year. And--------I'm done.

It's almost like a Ponzi scheme in that you keep having to find new investors to prevent the scam from being found out. Maybe if the league worked on getting teams with something more than a shoestring budget and hope, the West would have a chance of being viable but, when half the teams fold every season, the West will continue to be a joke. At least in the first two seasons of the West's existence they managed to play all the scheduled games. This season, two of the six teams haven't been able to do that. It doesn't inspire confidence in the league. As for Ogden being back next season? Maybe. They sound like they are seriously trying. However, they are going to have a hard time convincing season ticket holders and sponsors after this season's fiasco.
