Is it too early to start a lil' smack talk here? I think it's NEVER too early for that! We spotted some Knights players and coaches scouting the game last night at the Thunder Dome! Maybe you guys should've come down BEFORE you lost to the 'Cats, and you could've learned how to tame them!
Seriously tho! I expect this to be a great rivalry and can't wait 'til our teams play! Good luck!

Dont feel bad BigDaddy. Ogden doesnt have much of a presence on our AIFAFANS board either.

The fans weren't showing up to the games either. It is a great alternative to traveling to Salt Lake City to watch the Blaze.

Hey BigDaddy

You can count on me for your weekly (or daily) dose of smack talk. I just picked up my front row season tickets for the Knights, and I don't plan on spending much time sitting in them.

The Knights will take care of the opposing players on the field and the Jester will take care of their disillusioned fans on the boards.

Easy for the Knights to talk smack now that the Utah Valley Thunder (now Blaze) are now gone.... :o :o

The Blaze are a mess right now. The old owners are distancing themselves from both the Blaze and the new AFL1 league. Without the Garffs', there is basically no chance of any rebranded Blaze effort.

Personally, I would rather follow the smaller leagues anyway. Although they were a financial failure, the Utah Warriors of the once relevant NIFL were hands-down the most exciting sports franchise in Utah.

I ended up moving out of state just after they were sold and eventually became the Blaze. Now that I am back in Utah, I have no interest in the new AFL1.

I'd rather watch the Knights and travel to Wyoming to watch the old nemesis of the Warriors, the Cavalry.

I know what you mean about Wyoming. Several years ago, at a Warriors v. Cavs game, we had a 80+ year old grandma get all up in our faces for being obnoxious. I was sure we were going to find our cars turned upside down in the parking lot after the game.

Those guys have an awesome fanbase although I never really understood drinking Tomato Juice and Beer. What's up with that?

Oh come on now, you can't polish a turd and say it is a candy bar! That is what the Thunder are trying to do with the Blaze name. Just like the af1 is trying to do by changing its name back to the AFL. It is trying to base success on past name recognition.

Sorry, it just won't work. Thunder can barley stay afloat as is, and now you want them paying royalties to the af1 that not even major market teams can afford? Not to mention I doubt the Garff's are going to be handing over any Blaze things, IE turf, uniforms, season ticket lists, and so on and so forth, so they are starting from scratch.

If I was the Thunder I would be scared of getting embarrassed, and would cross my fingers to even score points this season. Heck I'd just be glad I didn't have to play Ogden this year, the Knights aren't the same team and have more talent and experience on the Oline than the Fake Blaze have on their whole roster.

Best of luck in the craptastic AFL, there is a reason the millionaire Garff familly pulled out on the league, and it wasn't because they could make money lol

Hows that for smack talk ;)
