Other than the 1972 Miami Dolphins who won all 14 games in the regular season, 2 games in the playoffs, and the Super Bowl over the Washington Redskins (a PERFECT record of 17-0), has there EVER been any other team in pro football history to finish the season undefeated?
I'm just curious to ask this because of how the Mariners' season has been going.....

OMG u got to be kinding me u r comparing the nfl to the aifa.. when was the last time u seen the nfl no paying there players likeAs long as NJ keeps intentionally failing to pay their players, nothing good will come out of the season for the team as a whole. Please don't tell me it's solely for the love of the game that these guys are playing! Most of them want to play at a higher level someday, and the ownership isn't fostering this one bit. Players have signed no official contracts, and they are not getting paid a penny. How can this be called professional when other teams have contracts, are paying their players and providing transportation to games? There's nothing professional about this organization, except the league in which they play. I feel bad for the players, because all the talk before the season probably misled them into believing that they were going to be part of something legit. The ownership/management owes these guys more than just the money due to them. NJ read this...

Dude, first of all, lemme' say this much....
Throughout ALL your disputes and catfights with other Mariner fans on this board, i've been the ONE person who was respectful to your comments and thoughts. However, from THIS point on, no more.
You are indeed BITTER and you need to get over it. I saw where you posted on ANOTHER board, to MrArcade that we need to be thankful to YOU guys that we even have a team. NOT!! Throughout this year, you have called us a "classless" organization. NOT!!! If the shoe was on the other foot and YOU guys were having an undefeated season this year, I would be very happy for y'all. You really need to get a life and stop with the negative comments towards us. We're the BETTER team this year. We have beaten the absolute livin' $%^&@!#+=~` out of you guys not once, but TWICE this year, so yes, you guys suck and didn't deserve to make the playoffs.......BOTTOM LINE!

First of all, Express4Life... He was not comparing the AIFA/Indoor football to the NFL. It is part of the question, which you missed due to a lack of simple comprehension. The question is " has there EVER been any other team in pro football history to finish the season undefeated?" This includes, All of the indoor teams, the USFL, XFL, and every single other football league that is billed as Professional (non-volunteer or Semi-pro). To answer the question: Yes. Here is a comprehensive listing of perfect teams in NFL/AFL (American Football League) history as well as indoor/arena football history. Although it is wikipedia, I did verify as much as I could using other sources. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_season
